Respond Effectively To Big Emotions

A 4-week group skill-building program so you can handle the drama in your home with confidence

You love your child, but their big reactions can drive you crazy.

And you know you don’t always handle their drama well.

Often how you respond — yell, use a calm voice, send them away, or even stay close by — only makes the situation worse.

But you’re not sure what to do INSTEAD – because nothing has worked (for more than a week or two) so far.

Within the first 10 minutes of this program, you’ll find out why these strategies fail… and then you’ll learn a step-by-step process for responding in a way that reduces the negativity, drama, and reactivity in your home.

BUT this program is not just about learning new INFORMATION.

You’ve already read books and blogs and have a lot of information swimming around in your head.

It’s about practicing and mastering a process so that you can take action and see results.

In this uniquely-structured program, I will not only will I teach you the process, but I will give you the tools you need to feel successful at each step. We will practice these tools together (through worksheets, practice, and other exercises) and you will take action on them each week.

I have created this program with to allow you to TRULY experience a shift in how you think about and respond to your child’s behavior — using experiential techniques to help you understand your current reactions so that responding to them in a new way becomes natural and intuitive.

I’ve spent the last decade working with parents like you.

I’m Rachel Bailey, Parenting Specialist (and former therapist) who has been supporting parents who are raising children with big emotions for the last 10+ years.

Although I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and have served many roles in the field of psychology (ADHD Coach, Academic Coach, in-home mentor, psychotherapist), my passion has always been helping families reduce the drama in their homes.

That’s because not only have I helped hundreds of parents of foster resilience in their dramatic, sensitive, kids … but I’m also raising a highly emotional (anxious, sensitive) child myself. I know what it’s like to not only feel exhausted worrying about and managing their responses on a daily basis… but also to spend much mental energy worrying about their future and whether they’ll be able to handle life.

I also know that the way we naturally respond to their big emotions and try to foster resilience… doesn’t work. And I know what to do differently. And if I know that if I didn’t have these tools, things would be much worse.

I want to share the strategies that have made such a big difference not only in my home, but in the homes of all of the families I’ve supported over the years.

How It Works

Each week includes an on-demand video training + a live session where you’ll meet and practice strategies with other parents whose children are similar ages to yours.

Here’s how each of the 4 weeks looks:

Are you ready to learn how to respond more effectively to the drama so that you can help your child in that moment and feel less guilty about how things go?

What other parents asked before joining

This class is appropriate for parents and caregivers for children ages 2 – 12*.

There are two sections of the class (parents of children age 2-6, parents of children age 7-12) so that you can participate with other parents whose children are similar in age to yours.

*If you are a parent of a teen and are interested in this program, please contact me at [email protected].

I know you’re busy. Every single activity was created specifically with the goal of saving you time and energy by teaching you how to create a more positive dynamic in your home.
Realistically, your commitment for the 4 weeks of the class is about 1 1/2 hours per week (including the 1-hour live session) over a few different interactive activities.
Each week you will:

Receive a 20-minute (or so) video lesson + note-taking workbook
Participate in a 60-minute live class (or watch the replay if necessary… but honestly, I’m told by other parents that participating in the class was what changed EVERYTHING for them!)
Be assigned homework that takes about 10 minutes to complete.

For $450, you receive resources and support that is worth $1400

4 video lessons + interactive worksheets
4 60-minute live, interactive sessions and replays
4 homework assignments (with individual, private feedback provided if handed in by a certain time)
Access to the materials so that you can refer back to them after the class is over

It’s not uncommon for people to initially feel hesitant about joining a group. However, once parents join a group they understand the tremendous benefit. And after having helped over 1,000 families, again and again I see more progress with people who join a group rather than receiving individual support. Here’s why:

  • You receive the same step-by-step process you need to reduce the drama in your home as you would if we were working one-on-one
  • You feel less alone. You realize, with relief, that others are struggling with the same problems you are
  • You can be open and honest about what parenting is really like. In the classes I teach, I am honest about my imperfections… which often motivates others to be genuine as well. And hearing that others don’t live the “Facebook/Instagram life” — where families are happy and smiling all the time — can, in itself, help reduce our stress
  • You learn from others. Although I have lots of tips to offer, other parents also add value with suggestions for what has worked for them

FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN AGES 2 – 6
Live classes are on Tuesdays from 7:00-8:00 PM EASTERN on April 6, 13, 20, 27.
Pre-session lessons will be sent on April 4, 11, 18, 15.

FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN AGES 7 – 12
Live classes are on Tuesdays from 1:00-12:00 PM EASTERN on April 6, 13, 20, 27.
Pre-session lessons will be sent on April 4, 11, 18, 15.

All live sessions will be recorded if you can’t make it live.

While the class was created so that most of the transformation happens “live,” you will have access to the resources and replays forever. That means you can complete it in your own time and refer back to it whenever needed.

Of course things come up in life! While I highly encourage you to make as many of the live sessions as possible, you will always have access to the replays of any session that you may have to miss. You’ll have lifetime access to all materials.

If I offer a class on this topic again, it would not be until late 2022.

However, I encourage you to consider joining now because kids’ big emotions don’t tend to decrease on their own. Relationships — and kids’ self-esteem — can also deteriorate the longer that these issues are not addressed properly. Working on these issues does ultimately SAVE you time… remember too that you’ll have access to this information forever and can implement it as you are able.

Still have questions about Parenting Academy benefits? We’d love to hear from you!

your chance to join the live class ends in…
