Episode 007

One of the major causes of power struggles and negative behavior in our homes is related to getting kids off of their devices. We try to be respectful of our kids (giving warnings and staying calm), but often our requests are still met with disrespect, defiance, and meltdowns. To experience less struggle, it’s important to understand WHY kids resist getting off of their devices so much (it’s not just because they “don’t feel like stopping”) and give them the tools to do better.

In this episode, you’ll learn:

  • Why (from a scientific perspective) it’s hard for kids to get off of their devices… and how this affects you too as a parent!
  • Why you have to understand what’s under your kids’ behavior if you want them to be more resilient
  • Two specific long-game strategies that will help your child(ren) get off of their devices — and transition from other tasks — more easily
